During this session we will discuss the ways different cities across the U.S. are supporting the integration RH&C technologies into local markets. Panelists will talk about the methods they've used to analyze market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and advance thermal decarbonization programs and policies.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand what renewable thermal technologies are most appropriate for the replacement of fossil fuel based systems, including the benefits and potential drawbacks of these systems for occupants.
  • Describe what market barriers exist that prevent further adoption of these systems and potential ways to address those barriers.
  • Identify what publically available data is useful and used to identify market opportunities and understand the potential for deploying renewable thermal systems at scale.
  • Describe what mechanisms local governments have available to them that they can leverage to support this transition to low carbon economies.
